Google Says Link: Search Operator Doesn't Work Anymore

Recently, Google's John Mueller responded to question from a Twitter user asking what's up with the Link: search operator, saying that this feature no longer works. This is one of the oldest SEO link tools and its kinda sad to see it die off. Google also doesn't list the Link: command on its search operators resource page anymore - https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/2466433

So its best to now use quality link tools such as Majestic and MOZ's Open Site Explorer. The link report in Google Search Console is still available as well.

The other major search operator that has been around for a long time, Site:, is still alive and Google also added new features that allow you to search via social media.
